These are a great option for folks who want better wind protection and a traditional look, with or without a sound system.
The base model VLKX has no speaker or radio cut-outs for those who do not want audio, or wish to do it themselves from scratch later.
The VLKX-S version INCLUDES four 5" coaxial speakers, a Radio Mount/weather door, 12v Power Socket, and a dipole wire antenna, along with pre-cut openings for fast installation. You add the automotive radio that best suits your needs, and do the install. I'll be glad to put the speakers, door, and power socket into the inner for the same price if requested, but most folks would take them right back out for paint, so they ship packaged separately.
PLEASE NOTE: Both versions REQUIRE relocation of the tach, speedo & headlamp for installation. This allows the fairing to sit down low against the fork tubes and close to the steering head centerline, tilted back properly to match the fork angle for safe handling. (An excellent kit to do this is available from www.xf6-custom.com). This is NOT a quick-detach mounting arrangement; the fairing is strapped directly to the bare fork tubes between the triple trees with 3 band clamps on each side. The black fairings on this page are unpainted gelcoat, just like it'll arrive at your house. If you are in the market for a high-quality, hand-laid fiberglass fairing for your Valkyrie Std. or Tourer - I hope you'll keep me in mind.
